Colostrum is a milk product that is formed in the mother’s mammary glands during the first few days after birth, before the advent of real milk. It contains proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, growth factors and antibodies, and is an important element for the formation of the immune system and the protection of newborns. The concentration of the antibodies in colostrum is 100 times higher than that in normal cow’s milk.
