L-Tyrosine is essential amino acids produced in the body from phenylalanine (an essential amino acid). As a precursor of epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine and thyroid hormones, it is extremely important for metabolism. Tyrosine supports healthy function of adrenal and pituitary glands. Adrenal gland regulates the stress hormones. Recent studies show that feeding with Tyrosine helps to reduce the effects of stress conditions. This is probably due to the fact that Tyrosine is a precursor of epinephrine, a neurotransmitter which stimulates the body’s response in stress. Another study shows Tyrosine ability to increase mental sharpness. This formula uses L form of Tyrosine, as it is closer to the produced by the body. It is extracted from sugar beets.
